Why do I have to scroll left and right to view this website on my monitor?

Why is this site bigger than it appears on my computer screen?

This website, like many others that were created after January 2007 are developed at a size of 1024 pixels wide. Websites developed prior to 2007 are typically set at 800 pixels wide. With technology constantly evolving, the majority of consumers now use computer monitors at least 15 inches wide and set the screen resolution to the highest setting (for the sharpest picture). If the screen resolution is set properly, this website can be easily viewed on any monitor over 12 inches, including laptops.

To change the screen resolution:

On Windows XP: Right click on desktop background and go to Properties; under the Settings tab, slide screen resolution bar to highest setting.

On Windows Vista: Right click on desktop background and go to Appearances; slide screen resolution bar to highest setting.

*Also, allowing monitor to auto-correct the screen resolution will typically fix the problem.
