Island Sampler: A Week in St. Thomas

Day 1 Relax
Arrive and Relax all day and do nothing except lay at the beach or pool at or near your hotel/condo

Day 2 Explore neighboring St. John
Have a coffee at the marina in Red Hook and take the ferry to St. John - Enjoy the shops, restaurants, and explore the National Park.

Day 3 Contrast the Impact of Tourism
Visit Charlotte Amalia at peak cruise ship hours to experience the town at its busyish, shop or watch people shop at Havensight - then escape for some afternoon time at Hidden cove beach - then return in the evening for dinner to expereince Charlotte Amalia after the cruise ship croud are back on their ships.

Day 4 - Explore and Be Active
Drive to Drake's Seat and get a panoramic view of the island - the visit Magens Bay and take in some snorkeling or drive to the golf course on the North Side and take in a round of golf.

Day 5 - Compare
Do something on the South Side and then drive through the Town and Country area and count how many fast food chains and stores with familiar names you will have access to on the island. Visit a grocery store and see what kind of meat and produce they have and prices, then visit the warehouse market in the center of the island and see the meat, produce, merchandize and prices there for comparison.

Day 6 - Enjoy the Sea
Spend a day on a boat - deep sea fishing, sailing, or maybe touring the British Virgin Islands.

Day 7 - Mainland Return
Get ready to leave, note the traffic while riding to the airport, note where the gas stations are.
